If you read, or saw The Watchmen then you know the difficult choice you make when deciding on a Silk Spectre costume. There are two versions of this character, both beautiful and worthy of wear.
I adore the Silk Spectre I costume- it's reminiscent of 50's pin-up girl fashion which has always had a place in my heart.
She has grace and femininity, as alluded by the flirty, silk dress and long black gloves. Yet the costume also calls up strength (and sexuality) with her tight, corset waist cincher, and garter belt. You look absolutley fabulous Sally!
Then of course there is Spectre the second- Sallys daughter.
This outfit lacks a little bit of the class of the mothers. However it does gain much in functionality. Aside from being made of latex, which does not breathe, this costume is much better suited for feats of super heroinism. It is all one piece, and tight against the body. she doesn't need to worry about material catching and getting stuck on anything. And lets face it- she looks killer.
prepackaged costumes for each are easy to find.
But personally, I have never been a fan of a costume that comes in a bag. They don't fit right, and they are usually sub-par quality.
Here is a tutorial for the daughters version. Thanks to GiannyL- She has bunches of great costume ideas.
There were a number of great Miss Jupiter outfits at comic-con this year, take a look...
A fine assortment of super heros, indeed.
